2005 Chevy Silverado Pilot Integrated OEM Tailgate Lock Installation

Question:

Im not sure what its called but does the propeller looking thing on the lock sit on top of the rod latches when installed or behind the latches?

When the Integrated OEM Tailgate Lock # LH-003 is properly installed on your 2005 Chevy Silverado the locking arms will sit above the rods but below the brackets that are connected to the arms. Basically those locking arms prevent the brackets connected to the rods from moving and then when you unlock the tailgate those arms move out of the way and allow the rods and brackets to move. Attached is a photo of this kit installed for you to check out.
