Schedule 40 PVC Fulton Boat Guide Durability Concerns

Question:
fulton GB150 0100 boat trailer guides are these entirely PVC or metal covered with PVC? if 100 PVC, then easily breakable?

The Fulton Boat Guide - PVC Construction - 50" Tall item # FGB1500100 is made out of 100% schedule 40 PVC. It is 1/4" thick and is the same grade PVC used in low pressure plumbing in homes. They're meant to provide a frame of reference to help guide the boat onto the trailer. That being said you would have to be trying to break this to get it to fail.
