My crossbars on my 2018 crv are around 23 1/2 inches of space between them and are not adjustable. Will this basket work? Or can you recommend any others that will fit? Thank you

According to my info your 2018 Honda CR-V has a crossbar spread (from one point on the front crossbar to the same point on the rear crossbar) of 27" so we will need to look for a different roof basket since the max crossbar spread for the Aluminum Roof Mounted Cargo Basket # 288-09200 you were looking at is 24-3/4".
An alternative solution is to go with the SportRack Vista Roof Mounted Cargo Basket # SR9035 which has a crossbar spread range of 23-5/8" - 35-3/4", but If you were wanting to stick with an aluminum carrier I recommend the Inno Roof Deck Platform Rack # INA510 instead.
Personally I recommend going with the Inno carrier because it is better quality and easier to use/install, but it does come with a heavier price tag so if cost-effective is your motivator then the SportRack Vista is your better option. I actually had the opportunity to install the Inno on a pickup so I'm linking that video so you can get my thoughts on it.
