I see the 48inch max wheelbase listed for this rack. Is 49inch out of the question or do you think it could work? Thx,

I did some research, and I did find an option that will work for you. Unfortunately, the rack I did find that will work with your bicycle with the 49" wheelbase is not a wheel mounted roof bike rack. So the Yakima HighRoad, part # Y02114, will not work with your bicycle. I understand that 1" is not that much, but it becomes a big deal because your rear wheel strap cannot be seated correctly and it will have to be stretched to fit. I think that is too big of a risk to take with your bicycle.
However, the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack for Fat Bikes - Frame Mount - Clamp On or Channel Mount - Aluminum, part # TH598004-FB, can work with bikes from 49-3/16" - 51-3/16", depending on the frame style.
