Recommended Way to Carry Bikes With a 2018 Audi A6 Premium

I have to recommend using either a trunk bike rack or a roof mounted system as there is not a receiver available for your 2018 Audi A6 Premium or any A6 trim. I checked with every aftermarket manufacturer and noticed that Audi does not even make a factory receiver for the A6. The receiver you found only fit the 1999-2004 Audi A6's.

A trunk rack like the Thule OutWay Trunk Bike Rack # TH45JV will be the easiest way to carry 2 bikes up to 33lbs each with your A6. This rack has locks for securing both the bikes to the rack and the rack to your trunk.

I recommend the roof rack system as this will be a much more secure rack and allow for heavier bikes. The Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 will attach to your roof with the Evo Clamp Feet # TH710501, and Fit Kit # TH145083. This system will support up to 130lbs. For your Bike I recommend the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack # TH598004. This carrier will support a bike up to 44lbs and secures the bike in place with a frame mount. There is no need to remove your wheels or remove fenders for a wheel clamp. I do recommend using the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450800 with the 8 lock cylinders to be able to have the same key that will allow you to lock up your different components. Four of the locks will be used on the crossbars leaving you 4 more for additional Thule accessories like the bike racks.
