Is There An Awning for Round Roof Rack Crossbars

Looking at the Rhino Rack car awning for my 2017 Outback w/ round bar Yakima roof rack. I saw the QandA wanted a client to replace the round bars for the channel type bars. Thats not an option for me. Is there any way to keep the round bars, and make everything work? I was thinking about adding a single channel to my round bars secured w/ hoop bolts that runs perpendicular to my existing rack. Then attach the awning to the new channel which gives me a secure connection, plus it adds a little extra height. Let me know your thoughts.

If you want to install the Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning part # RR32132 you'll need a crossbar with integrated top channel, there are no exceptions to this nor can I recommend any modifications. That said, we do have roof rack mounted awnings that don't require crossbars with a top channel, the Thule HideAway Awning - Roof Rack Mount part # TH490010 or part # TH490008 which are compatible with round crossbars.
