Question:

I have the Harbor Freight tow bar I have been using for years. It is identical to the CURT 19745. Will the bumper mounting brackets on the CURT line up with the bolt holes on the Road master (521433-1) baseplates? The baseplate will be for a 2012 Jeep liberty limited.

So for your 2012 Jeep Liberty, there aren't any base plates that are going to mount to the arms of the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms # C19745. To continue using that tow bar you would need the brackets it is designed to attach to, which are the Universal Bumper Brackets for Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms # C19748.

Along with the # C19748 brackets, you will also need the accompanying safety pins if you don't have them, the Safety Pins for Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms # C19746-2.

Those brackets are something that are universal so they are bolted on wherever you can find room, so if you were hesitant to do that you would need a new tow bar to go with the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit # 521433-1.

There is a similar, coupler-style tow bar that will work, the Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar # RM-020.
