Is Bumper Cover Trimming Necessary to Install Curt C13331 Class III Hitch on 2021 Audi Q5

Question:
Will installation of the Curt #C13331 Class III hitch require cutting through the bumper on a 2021 Audi Q5? I'll use the hitch to carry my bike rack.

According to step 9 of the installation instructions, a 3-1/4 inch section of the fascia would need to be trimmed but on some models of the Q5, we've found that no trimming is required at all which is why we recommend dry fitting the bumper cover at the end of the install to determine how everything fits together.
Curt tells me that the amount of trimming definitely varies from model year to model year, and they don't have info about that specific to the 2021, so you'll absolutely want to do a dry fit before cutting on the bumper cover.
