Is Bulldog Collar Lok Coupler # BD028288 Good Choice for Escape Travel Trailer

Question:

5000 lb Escape travel trailer will this replacement work well enough or do I have to go to a higher weight rating? Is this high enough quality to last a long time? I do not have the trailer yet, I will be getting it next spring. The owners are complaining about the standard coupler that comes on the trailer. I know it would take a welder to replace the standard coupler what would be your guess as to how many hours I would need to pay them to get this done?

As long as your Escape travel trailer is going to always weigh less than 5,000 lbs the Bulldog Collar Lok Coupler part # BD028288 is going to work great as this a very reliable and durable coupler style that's easy to use and will last a long time. It does require welding to install. This wouldn't take much time at all for a welder so they'd probably charge you one shop hour if that's their minimum.
