I have a 2017 Jayco Eagle HT travel trailer and I am looking at replacing the shade as well, but I cannot remove the bulb. Is there a trick to getting it out?

The correct glass shade replacement for the # 277-000422 is the part # 277-000431.
In order to remove the outer globe on the Gustafson RV LED Pendant Light part # 277-000422 you need to loosen the wiring from the bottom of the base and feed the socket through the glass. The bulb is actually not replaceable.
