Question:

I would like to know if this will fit my 2019 Rav 4 Hybrid XLE. The cross bar spread is 33inch as they are factory. Also the Crossbars fit within the guidelines you have provided for the dimensions and I have enough space from the front of the fixed crossbar to the rear crease where it opens. Just want to verify before I purchase as this would be an expensive mistake. Thank you so much.

I have a solution for you. I confirmed with Yakima that you will have enough crossbar spread for the Yakima CBX 18 # Y86FR to fit on your 2009 Toyota RAV4. Also, Yakima confirmed that the clamps for the CBX 18 will attach to your factory crossbars.

However, I cannot confirm for sure if you will be able to fully open the rear hatch on your vehicle. Your measurement that you used will confirm whether you will be able to open your rear hatch. If you measured from the center of your front crossbar (in the maximum forward position - toward the front of the vehicle) to the line where the hatch and the roof meet, that measurement must be longer than 52-1/4 inches. If that measurement is less than 52-1/4 inches, you will not be able to fully open your rear hatch.

If you find that the measurement is less than 52-1/4 inches, the Yakima CBX 16 # Y66FR is a great alternative. The CBX 16 only requires the roof measurement to be at least 45 inches from the center of your front crossbar to the line where the hatch and the roof meet.
