Will the Tow Ready 7 Round Pin Adapter Allow My Freightliner Pull My Utility Trailer With a 4-Way
Updated 05/22/2013 | Published 05/19/2013 >
Question:
Can I plug this into my freightliners 7 round pin round connector that usually goes to the semi trailer to power a small utility trailer 4 pin flat with combined tail/brake/turn lights? Or do I need diodes to bring vehicles 7 pin to 4? I want to be able to haul my motorcycle to the shop behind semi so I dont have to find a ride home when they keep overnight.

If the plug on your Freightliner is a traditional vehicle side 7-way round pin connector like the one in the picture provided, and it is pinned the same then the Tow Ready 7 pole to 4-Flay adapter part # 47405 would work out great.
If you use this connector then no additional diodes would be needed.
