I have the small skyrise on my 2019 F150, And it doesn’t really look wide enough. Is it recommended I use a 4 person tent? It doesn’t necessarily bother me too much except where it mount, it’s about 8 inches from each rail.

The Yakima SkyRise HD Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars # Y07436 works with a crossbar spread of 26" - 40-1/2". Since it sounds like the crossbars on your ladder rack aren't falling within in this spread I recommend replacing them a sliding rack like the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-000 which can adjust to the 26" - 40-1/2" spread.
We don't currently carry a 4 person tent but we do have a the Yakima SkyRise HD Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars - 3 Person - 600lbs - Tan and Red # Y07437. It also has a 26" - 40-1/2" crossbar spread.
