I ordered the wrong one, I need one for a 2001 mustang GT,and I seen in small print after I ordered it,that the one I ordered was for a 6 cylinder

You need the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24687 which is a confirmed fit for your 2001 Mustang GT.

If you are planning on using your trailer hitch receiver to tow a trailer you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # C55326 and a ball mount #3592 with a hitch ball, either the 1-7/8" # 19256, or 2" hitch ball # 19258.
