Question:
I have an 8.5’ x 24’ enclosed trailer and I’m looking to purchase a unit. Can you help me with picking a unit for this size trailer? Thank you.

For a 24' x 8' enclosed trailer, you're looking at about 200 square feet, and for that size, I recommend a 13,500 Btu air conditioner, which will more than suffice for that space. I also highly recommend a start capacitor to go with the AC in order to ensure your unit always has enough power to start up whenever you need.
With that in mind, there are two really good options for you, both from Advent. One has a thermostat and controls directly on the air distribution box, and the other uses a wall-mounted thermostat. If your enclosed trailer has a taller roof that you might have difficulty reaching, you can go with the unit that has the wall-mounted thermostat. The other difference is that one comes with a start capacitor already while the other does not and you'll need to get it separately. Here is exactly what you will need, and you can choose from either Black or White in color:
Thermostat on Distribution Box & Start Capacitor Included
- Black: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Start Capacitor - 13,500 Btu # ACM135BC
- White: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Start Capacitor - 13,500 Btu # ACM135C
Wall-Mounted Thermostat & Start Capacitor Not Included
- Black: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 13,500 Btu # ADV44FR
- White: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 13,500 Btu # ADV94FR
- Start Capacitor for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACMSCKIT
