Is a Spare Tire Carrier Available for the Yakima Basketcase Cargo Basket

I may have a solution for you, but according to my contact at Yakima the Spare Tire Carrier # Y07076 is not compatible with the Basketcase and there is not a tire carrier that will fit on the smaller bars. With that said, you could just use some ratchet straps like the CargoBuckle Mini G3 Retractable Ratchet Straps - 1" x 6' - 466 lbs - Qty 2 # IMF111640 to secure your spare tire. These ratchet straps will provide a bit more secure solution than the cargo net that was included with the Basketcase and are a nice alternative to a spare tire carrier.
