I bought a part HM48925 for a 2004 ford escape my question, the tail lights had one light bulb the has two filament obviously brake and continuous light 3 wires conector there according with instructions Wiring configuration: White: ground wire Red: brake light Green: right turn signal Yellow: left turn signal Brown: park/tail lights. Red and Brown go in the same wiring only diffrent cable i just dont to fry anything, a one point all my lights shut off no fuses blown, i disconnect the harness and lights come back on. what im doing wrong advice appreciated Thanks

On your 2004 Ford Escape you do in fact have separate wiring like you mentioned meaning that the turn signals and brake lights are powered by separate wires so the Hopkins tail light converter kit # HM48925 you purchased is correct.
To confirm the functions of your factory wiring you will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 while having a friend turn on the turn signals, apply the brakes, and turn on the head lights one at a time.
The wiring configuration you mentioned of While wire to ground, Red wire to brake light, Green wire to right turn signal, Yellow wire to left turn signal, and Brown wire to tail lights is correct.
Once you have identified the functions of your factory wiring you can be sure you are making the correct connections.
