How To Install T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness to Replace Existing Module on a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I have a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan with a dealer installed lighting kit and hitch. I suspect the module is bad and plan on replacing it. It looks like the black 18ga wire most likely is already run directly to the battery. Is there a good way to check that and if so could I connect directly to that wire? Ive attached a picture of the module and what I believe is the wire to the battery. Thank you for all your help in the past.

You will be able to connect the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56331 to the existing black wire but first you will need to check the black wire to make sure it is getting power.
To test to make sure the black wire is getting the correct power I recommend using the Hook Probe Circuit Tester # PTW2993. This tester will check the connection to make sure it is operating correctly.
Once you've determined the black wire is hooked up properly you can connect the new wiring harness to that black wire. I have attached an installation video which will help you see how the wires connect.
