Operating Instructions For EasySnap Mounting Kit For Thule Cargo Box

Question:
My mounting kit did not come with U-bolts that have the rubber piece on them for protection of the crossbars. They are just bare U-bolts. However it did come with the 4 long black plastic strips, and Im not sure what to do with these. Would they go between the cargo box and the crossbar, or underneath the crossbar between it and the bottom of the U-bolt? Thank you.

The Replacement EasySnap Mounting Kit for Thule Cargo Boxes, part # TH05820, works with the previous generations of the Thule roof top cargo box, such as the Cascade XT or the Evolution XT. Those strips slide into grooves on the bottom of the box, so they will fit between the cargo box and the crossbar. The strips have have holes for the u-bolts that match the EasySnap housing.
