What is the Trailer Hitch Spacer Block Made From

What material is this made out of? Im concerned about corrosion in my area, so want to verify.

The Trailer Hitch Spacer Block - 3" Long x 1" Wide x 1/4" Thick # RP3022 is made of carbon steel, so it will be susceptible to corrosion. You could put a coating of some sort of Plasti-dip type substance on this before installation to help protect against that, but I don't believe it's completely necessary because of the typical use of this part will shield it from most direct exposure to moisture.
