Question:
I have a new Silverado and bought the curt puck system gooseneck ball and safety chain anchor kit. I have only used the ball twice I removed it after trailering the second time I tried to remove the ball but it will not come out. How do I go about removing the ball? it is brand new and so is the truck.

The Curt OEM Ball Bearing Gooseneck Balls like the # C630-652 you have are notorious for being difficult to remove. This is is due to the small lever on the top that doesn't really give you enough leverage to fully open the handle easily.
To remove the stuck gooseneck ball from your New Silverado's gooseneck hitch you will need to use some penatraiting oil in the top lever, and around the sides of the hitch to get into the ball bearing. Using a hammer to hit the hitch ball back and forth helps too as the instant shock tents to push the bearings back into the hitch ball and allow it to be removed.
Once you have it removed I recommend going with the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford, GM, and Nissan Titan Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNXA2061 as it has a much larger lever that makes remove the hitch ball easier, and is a bit more high quality of a hitch ball. It is also a good idea to grease the gooseneck ball hole and hitch ball especially around the bearings to make sure they do not get seized.
I included a video of the # BWGNXA2061 for you to take a look at.
