Having just purchased a 2020 GMC 2500HD w/short box my Drawtight hitch from previous truck does not fit. I am pulling a 2021 Cougar RLS. What 5th wheel hitch do you recommend? I was told the Demco Recon Fifth wheel hitch would be a good fit. Will this work on my truck? The truck has factory puck system w gooseneck ball. Thank you

Since you have a short bed truck I recommend a sliding hitch over the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Hitch Item # DM8550043. The Demco Recon would require you to install the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Semi-Custom Install Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM97VR instead of being able to use your OEM puck system.
The specs for your 2021 Cougar 30RLS show it has a GVWR of 11,000 so if you're wanting to stick with Demco I recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000lbs # DM8550034 with the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 21K # DM6333.
