The fit kit has rubberized trim that fits to the contours of your roof and the legs attach to the kit, becoming the weather seal. If you remove the rack when it is not in use you have caps to put on the fit kit to protect the mounting hardware. The 2019 Mazda CX-5 Roof Rack by Rhino Rack consists of three parts;

the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 46" Long - Qty 2, part # RRVA118B-2,
the RCL Legs for Rhino-Rack Crossbars and Pioneer Platforms - Fixed Mounting Points - Qty 4, part # RRRCL4, and
theCustom RCP Fit Kit for 4 Rhino-Rack RC and RV Series Roof Rack Legs - Fixed Mounting Points, part # RRRCP48-BK.

This rack is rated to carry up to 165lbs. The Vortex Aero bars are elliptical shaped to reduce wind noise and help with fuel efficiency. These bars have a t-channel so they will work with all channel mounted accessories. Yet they still work with accessories that clamp to crossbars. This rack will also lock to your vehicle, keeping it safe from theft.
