The Nissan Rogue underwent a design change model refresh for the 2021 model year, so a hitch and wiring can't be swapped from the 2018 model. So what you will need for a '21 Rogue is a new hitch and wiring that fits, and the best options are the following:
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT85MR
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C44ER
I really like the Draw-Tite because it has a nice concealed look that helps your Rogue maintain its streamlined look; I have added a photo of this hitch installed on a 2021 Rogue so you can see how it will look on yours. This hitch has a 2" receiver and is a bolt on-installation so you don't have to do any drilling into your vehicle's frame.
The wiring harness does sit outside the vehicle, and because the hitch is recessed up under the bumper, you will want to use a mounting bracket and attach it to the underside of the fascia; for that you can use the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144.
