I have a wiring solution for your 2012 Lincoln MKT, but the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118472 that you referenced is not a confirmed fit for you vehicle so I would not recommend it for you.
If you do not have any trailer wiring connectors at all I would recommend you get a Curt Wiring Harness # C56095. This wiring harness has been confirmed to fit your vehicle and would work well. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out.
