Question:

Will the Thule Motion XT XL fit on my 2017 Explorer factory installed cross bars? Will I need any additional mounting hardware to fit the roof cargo on my Explorer? If so what will I need to make this fit my Explorer?

The Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629907 will fit the spread of your crossbars as long as it is less than 36-7/8 inches apart. The maximum crossbar dimensions for the carrier clamps are 3-1/2 inches wide and 1-11/16 inches tall. Also, the rear hatch will fully open once the carrier is mounted. There are no additional hardware materials needed for installation.
