Question:

I would like to pull a small trailer with my Toyota Yaris. All lights on the trailer are incandescent. Can I not wire directly to the cars lights without running a wire to the battery. thank you in a advance,

Yes, you will need to route a 12 volt power wire to the battery of your 2007 Toyota Yaris when installing a trailer wiring harness; there is no way around this as that is the only way for power to get to the converter, which is needed for the harness to work. I have added a link below to a help article which gives details on the best way to route the power wire.

So you will need to do that, though the correct wiring harness is going to depend on if your 2007 Toyota Yaris is a hatchback or sedan.
