Question:
I recently purchased this hitch and I noticed it doesnt have a locking mechanism to lock the latch in place. Is this correct? Is there a locking latch I can purchase for the hitch? I dont know if Id trust just that latch heading down a dirt road.

Expert Reply:
The handle latch has a provision for installing a padlock like # ML1KA through the hole in the latch as shown in the provided photo. The lock would prevent the locking latch from opening which in turn prevents the handle from being actuated to open the hitch jaws.
