Question:
Hi, I need to know which cargo boxes will fit a 2011 Honda CR-V without interfering with the hatch, or the antenna. Thules website doesnt offer any fit for any cargo box, and for Yakima it is hard to find out based on actual CR-V owners what fits, and fits well. The CR-V has factory cross bars installed.

The SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box, part # SR7018, is an 18 cubic-foot cargo box that will fit many types of factory and aftermarket crossbars as long as they have a spread of 25-7/8-, 27-7/8- or 29-7/8-inches.
However, my contact at Sportrack could not confirm whether this box will clear your roof-mounted antenna. It is possible that this will need to be removed when the box is mounted.
To make certain, I pulled a sample from our warehouse and took measurements of the rear mounting bracket holes on the bottom surface to allow you to measure your CR-V. To determine approximately where the rear of the box will be when mounted in the most-forward position on your roof, first slide your front crossbar as far forward as it can go. Then slide the rear crossbar forward until its center is 24 inches from the center of the front crossbar. The rear edge of the roof box lid (which is the farthest-back part of the box) will extend approximately 15 inches behind the center of the rear crossbar.
It is recommended that you check your owners manual for your CR-V to confirm the roof weight limit. The weight of any carrier plus its loaded cargo must not exceed the limit of your vehicle roof. This particular Sportrack carrier weighs 38 pounds, so your cargo weight limit will be the roof limit minus the 38 lbs of the cargo box.
I have included a video link demonstrating installation of the Aero XL on a comparable vehicle.
A tire-mount step is often considered a must-have accessory when using a roof-mounted cargo box. Slip-on tire steps extend your reach and make the processes of loading and unloading your box much easier. These steps fold up and stow in your vehicle when not in use. We offer two such items, the TireStep # HE4040 and the Tire Wheel Step # PT68ZR. I have included a video link for the # PT68ZR step. The # HE4040 step has a weight capacity of 400 lbs, and the # PT68ZR step 300 lbs.
