I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 and plug and play adapter # 3016. The P3 is one of our most popular brake controllers and offers proportional braking so it will adjust the trailer brakes in proportion with the deceleration of the tow vehicle; I also really like that the P3 has an easy to read LCD display so you'll always know what your controller settings are. This controller can be mounted in just about any orientation and it's automatically leveling, so it's an easy to install solution.
I've linked a review and installation video of this controller for you to have a look at, as well.
