Will Curt C31068 or Draw-Tite 65061 Front Hitch Be More Recessed Under Bumper of 2013 Ford F150

Question:

I just bought the Curt 31068 for my 2013 F150. The Curt is very far under the front bumper. I would like to know if this one removes the need for a extender. Wish Curt would have made the receiver 2inch longer.

The manufacturer doesn't provide this information, and unfortunately we didn't take exact measurements of it when we installed both front mounted receivers on a 2014 Ford F-150. However, if you look at the side by side photo I provided, it looks like the Draw-Tite # 65061 isn't as recessed as the Curt # C31068, in fact the Draw-Tite receiver sticks out further by a couple of inches. Our installed noted this in one of the videos I've linked for you.
