Is the Rhino Rack Steel Mesh Cargo Tray Compatible with Thule Bars and Fairing

Question:

With a 38inch Thule fairing attached to a 108cm square crossbar, can I still install this RPBS on my crossbar without removing the fairing? Will it cause a uneven level installation between the front n rear crossbar? If yes, is there any ways to make it to the same level? Regards.

You should have no problem installing the Rhino-Rack Steel Mesh, Roof Mounted Cargo Tray # RPBS-S280 on your Thule square cross bars that have a Thule 38 inch Fairing # TH72WV installed on them.

The fairing should not give the rack an uneven look as the clips of the fairing are pretty thick.

However, what you could do is install a couple Replacement Load Bar Clip for Thule Roof Rack Fairings # 8537361 on the rear cross bar as well so that the # RPBS-S280 would sit as level as possible on your roof rack.

Hi, As mentioned earlier that I need to add a couple of Thule Fairing Replacement Load Bar clips on the rear to make it level, will that alone be enough? Can it clip on to the crossbar without 8537362? Or do I also hv to purchase that?Appreciate your reply.

You will need both the replacement clip, 8537361 and the square bar adapter 8537362 to properly fit onto the square bars. The only way you would not need the inner pieces would be if you were installing the clips on Thules now discontinued Rapid Aero bars.
