I have a 2018 Equinox 1.5L FWD and want to install a Roadmaster base plate. What is the difference in the RM523193-4 and RM523193-5? What adaptor would I need to use a Demco Dominator tow bar? Thank you.

The difference between the two Roadmaster base plate kits part # RM523193-4 and # RM-523193-5 is the removable arm design of the base plate which allows for different attachments to tow bars. The # RM-523193-4 is the style that requires the tow bar to have a crossbar whereas the # RM523193-5 is a direct connect style of attachment so the tow bar doesn't need to use a crossbar. The direct connect is an easier design with less components involved so it's the better option when available.
To use a Demco Dominator tow bar # DM9511008 with a Roadmaster base plate kit you'd need the adapter # RM-033 for the crossbar style of base plates or the # DM9523032 for the direct connect.
