How to Replace Locks on Rhino-Rack Zenith 400L

Question:

To replace the lock barrel in the Rhino Zenith 400L, does the lock need to be in the open or closed position? Do you have a video of how to replace the lock barrel? Thanks

In order to replace your old locks on the Rhino Rack Zenith 400L with new locks like the # RRRK005-4 the locks will need to be unlocked and you will need access to the rear of the lock. With the key inserted you'll need to turn the key to the unlock position so it will depress the tumblers or spines on the lock. At the back there is a metal tab holding the lock in. Use a flat blade tool or knife to press that tab down while at the same time pushing the lock out from the back.

To insert a new lock put the key in the lock, line it up with the housing, and use the tool to press that tab down again while pushing the lock in from the front.
