Question:
I own a 1996 Chevy Tahoe, 5.7L 2 Door, 4x4 with factory installed class 4 hitch. I recently purchased a 27foot KZ camper and the RV center installed a Reese 49912 Weight distribution System. but I was unhappy with the Tahoe leveling when the trailer was attached. I have since installed rear air bags on the Tahoe. The rear air bags arent self-leveling and I dont plan of making them self leveling, I manually adjust the height. My question has two parts 1 should I perform a reinstall of the Reese 49912 now that I have the rear air bags installed? Question 2 what would be the procedure for hooking up the camper, when do I adjust the rear air bags to level the Tahoe? Thank you guys.

Both great questions! To the first yes you should re set your Reese Weight Distribution System w Shank part # RE94FR after installing the air bags like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2101. As for the second question you should hook up the camper to the vehicle and level it with the air bags. Then hook up your weight distribution system. This will help to aid in your air bags and the weight distribution system working together really well and not over doing the effect.
