I am looking for a large rack for my suburban. I want to carry everything from kayaks to ladders and luggage. I was looking at the 84” rack. Would this rack be good to carry ladders? Will it get scratched up? I had a Yakima mega warrior on my other suburban and liked it. I wanted a little larger rack for my new one. If I got the rail will it be strong enough for hauling ladders.

Yes! The Rhino-Rack Pioneer # JB0301 is a great rack for carrying ladders, lights, luggage, and load of other stuff!
This is such a fun platform rack, and it is definitely larger than your other Yakima Mega Warrior # Y07080-82 rack even with Yakima's extra 22" attachment. You can customize the Pioneer with different accessories for your different needs. If you're carrying ladders often, I recommend getting some Rhino Rack Load Stops # RRRLH to keep your ladders in place. These just slide into the channels of the Pioneer. I attached a video if you want to see them in use with a ladder.
You might also want to consider the Roller Accessory for Rhino Rack Pioneer # RR43131 which was designed with loading ladders in mind. It will also minimize the risks of scratches to your car and rack since this allow ladders to simply slide on from the back.
Finally, as for weight capacity, Rhino Rack has told us in the past, when talking about their Pioneer Trays, that they're overbuilt for their applications. Technically they're rated for 129 lbs on road, but make sure to check your Suburban's roof weight capacity minus the rack weight and follow whichever one is lower. My 8-foot ladder is 32 lbs so I'm pretty sure you'll have more than enough capacity.
