Where are Corner Crush Tabs on 2020 Cadillac CT6 When Installing Hitch

What are these corner crush tabs people are talking about? I am unable to get one side to attach to car. It is like 1/4inch shy. Do you cut these crush tabs off or unscrew them? Is there a pic of the crush tabs?
