Why is Reverse Light Panel of Bargman LED Triple Tail Light Incandescent

Question:
It seems the reverse light bulb of this LED fixture is not LED but incandescent. Any logical reason why? Can / should it be replaced with an LED bulb? Thanks

While LED lights are very visible as taillights they don't illuminate quite as well as an incandescent bulb as strange as that may sound. But why the # 47-84-530 has an incandescent bulb and not an LED is more to do with the fact it wouldn't be able to have a reflector with an LED. If you wanted to replace it with an LED you certainly could with a 1156 LED in white.
