I recommend using a hitch mounted bike rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR. This bike rack will fit in 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. This bike rack also has a tilting feature that will allow you to open your rear hatch without having to remove the bike rack each time. If you do not have a trailer hitch on your vehicle, then I would recommend installing the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, #75270. We have installed this trailer hitch on a 2012 Honda Odyssey so I attached the installation instructions and video for you to check out.
Adding a trailer hitch to your vehicle will also allow you to tow a small trailer if the situation arose. To complete a towing set up on your vehicle you would just need a wiring harness, # 118521, and a ball mount kit, # EBMK4.
