You can mount the Tekonsha P-3 Brake Controller, # 90195, where ever you have room in the cab of your 2012 Toyota Venza. Two things to keep in mind when mounting the brake controller are to have the back of the brake controller pointing in the direction of travel when it is mounted and that it has a 180 degree vertical plane operating range. This means it can be mounted between -90 degree (straight down) and 90 degree (straight up).

Most customers end up mounting the brake controller on the under side of the driver side dash where it is easily accessible. I have attached a photo showing a common mounting location. The brake controller will come with a mounting bracket that you can simply screw into the dash. This location is often chosen because the screw holes cannot be seen easily when the brake controller is removed.

You should mount the brake controller to a stable location where it is easily within reach. You may prefer to mount the controller to the right of the steering column so you do not bump it as you are entering and exiting the vehicle.
