For your 2005 VW Passat Wagon with 4Motion use the Curt # C11076.
For the Wagon with out 4Motion use the Curt # C11054
Hitch # 11076 and # 11054 both would require that you also use a stabilization strap, # 18050, when using a bike rack. . But the hitches are not interchangeable so make sure that you identify the specific model wagon you have to select the correct hitch.
All of the hitches are Class I trailer hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers. This is important because only Class I accessories can be used in a Class I hitch and you are limited to carrying 2 bikes maximum.
