Troubleshooting Prodigy RF Controller with Intermittent Connection to Remote

Question:
Today we had a Prodigy RF installed on a 2018 Highlander and Lance 1575 at dealer. the unit appeared to work fine, but then we noticed that it dropped communications and then would reconnect and drop out again. Switching between the .c and .nc message. When the test button is pressed, the brake turns on even w/ the .nc displayed. I am not certain about with the brake pedal. Sometimes it is off for 10 seconds, sometimes only a second.

Sounds like it could be an intermittent connected for the controller from the trailer wiring connections. If the 7-way 12 volt power circuit has dirt or corrosion on the 12 volt pin (1:00 position) this will intermittently cut off power to the controller which would cause what you are describing. Check the pins and clean as needed with sandpaper.
