Question:
Hello, I just installed a Curt Class 3 hitch on my 2020 Honda Odyssey. The hands free lift gate no longer works. I saw for some hitches you need to buy an adapter for the hands free but I didnt see this recommendation for the Curt hitch. Should the gate still work or do I need the sensor adapter? Thanks..

If you have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # C12175 or the 2 inch Class III # C13370, then the description on the page says "Hands-free Liftgate sensor areas may be limited to areas away from the center where hitch receiver opening is located." If your sensors are not working at all, then I recommend checking the sensor connections as they should work as you get close to that sensor. You do have the option of relocating the sensors if the crosstube covers the sensor locations on your vehicle, but unfortunately we don't have a relocation kit, so any adaption would be up to you.
Some of the Draw-Tite options in comparison have a smaller crosstube for less obstruction where others are very similar to the Curt in style and size.
