I need roadmaster direct connect base plates for my 2012 ram 1500 so I can connect my roadmaster blackhawk 2 tow bar to it. What is the correct base plate for this application? I thought the 52289-5 was the right choice, but it says it is not confirmed to fit my truck even though it seems to fit the same truck in a different model year. I am unaware of any difference between the two trucks, since there are virtually no changes between the model years. Thanks.

For your 2012 Dodge Ram, you'll need # 52289-1 which is a fit for all models of the 2012 Dodge Ram 1500. The
# 52289-5 is a fit for 2013 to 2019 Ram 1500 models and the 2020 Ram 1500 Classic, but it isn't a fit for the 2012 1500 as there was a change in the front frame structure beginning with the 2013 model year. I've confirmed this with Roadmaster.
