We recommend a ball with a 2-1/8 inch shank length for the Self-Locking, Aluminum Ball Mount, # DTLBM8400. For a 2-5/16 inch diameter ball use # 63853. For a 2 inch ball use # 63845. And for a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 63851
