The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13902 is a multi-fit, universal-type hitch so it doesn't have any specific trucks that it will fit. Curt only describes it by saying, "Fits most full-size pickups from Ford, GM and Ram" so it will likely fit your 2005 Dodge Dakota, but you may have to drill into your frame, and I have a much better option for truck.
Instead of a multi-fit hitch, for your 2005 Dodge Dakota highly recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13229.
The reason this is a much better option is because it is a custom-fit hitch, designed for your truck. That means it will install muich simpler and without drilling into your truck's frame.
