Using Camco CAM43559 RV Universal Stovetop Cover as Work Surface

Question:
I intend to use cover on my stove top in home kitchen as another work space. How heavy an item can I place on it and can I use a appliance like a induction cooktop on it or rice cooker.

As far as using the cover as a work surface goes, Camco doesn't have a specific weight limit, but recommended placing a large cutting board or piece of plywood over the cover to prevent it from being dented. In any event, I'd recommend placing as little weight as possible on it. Using it as a work surface to do prep work shouldn't be an issue but I would be careful about placing anything on top of the cover that weighed more than a few pounds.
