1. Is this compatible only with hideaway roof mount awning? 2. Is it possible to adapt for use with wall mount hideaway awning?

I do have an option for you but the Medium QuickFit Tent for Thule HideAway Awning part # TH309921 is only compatible with the Thule HideAway awning part TH620002 which is a roof mount awning.
Since you have a Thule HideAway Awning Direct Mount like part # TH490011 that measures 8-1/2 feet long. I have confirmed with Thule you will need the Medium QuickFit Tent for Thule HideAway part # TH309920. They currently do not offer a 10 foot tent for the wall mount options.
