How to Free up the Pin on the Gen-Y Shock Absorbing Fifth Wheel Pin Box

Question:
I purchased this exact hitch and installed it on my camper. When hooking up to my truck, the pin is extremely tight. What can I do to free the pin up to slide into position freely?

Good question! I just did a video on the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter Pin Box part # 325-GH-8045 and had the same tight pin. To me it was coming from the thickness of the powder coating. I took a drill bit and slightly cleaned up the inside of the hole the pin slides in and it works like a charm now. So just take a bit, ream it out a touch and it will slide right in.
