What SolidStep Lift Assist for 25-1/2 Wide Door

my door opening is 25 1/2 inches. will the 25 to 30 inch model work?

There is not a 25"-30" model of the Lift Assist available, but it sounds like you probably have the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for 26" Wide RV Door Frames - Quadruple - Aluminum # LC678025 on your coach, and there is a process that Lippert has put in place to make sure that you have Lift Assist compatible steps.
To verify you have the correct Lift Assist assembly for your SolidStep (If SolidStep is already on your trailer)
A. Measure the tread width on the SolidStep (Fig.3)
B. Measure the width of the door frame (Fig. 4) and round up to the nearest even number to obtain the rough opening.
I. If the tread width is 20 1/8” and the rough opening is 26” - 29” (i.e. 26” or 28”) the step and door are compatible with Narrow Lift Assist Upgrade Kit PN # LC733937.
If the tread width on your steps is actually 18-1/8" or 22-1/8" wide, there is not a Lift Assist compatible with those steps.
I've also linked a diagram that shows how you can measure to be sure of which Lift Assist is the correct one for your SolidSteps. If you find that you've got different measurements on your steps than the ones provided, please let me know.
